Summary
The first week of the season started off on a strong note, taking the series vs the Rays 3-1 but ran into some trouble against Houston, losing that series 2-1.
Leading into the last series of the road trip before returning home, the Jays made a surprising trade with the Twins, sending LF Alan Roden & LHP Kendry Rojas to the Twins for 1B Ty France and RHP Louie Varland. Varland had a strong debut in the first game of the series but ultimately the Jays blew a 5-run lead to lose the first game 6-5.
Finishing the week at .500 is a plus. Hopefully a return to the Rogers Centre for the home opener will bring them above .500 and Chase the division lead.
